Meet the Director and Founder

Michael Partridge is an experienced Mechanic with over 17 years in the industry. Beginning his career as a humble apprentice in Newcastle he quickly gained experience and became a sort after name in the industry.

Michael has successfully managed several successful workshops in Newcastle and the Hunter Valley prior to finally diverting his focus to his own business "Shifters Automotive".

Michael prides himself on providing "Top Notch" customer service to customers by being honest and transparent. Michael will spend extra time with customers to show them the work completed and explain any issues that may have been found. Even if you're not "Mechanically minded" you will learn something new about your vehicle.

Away from Shifters Automotive, Michael enjoys spending time with his Family and tinkering along with his hobbies.

His current obsession is building a cammed LS1 engine to go into his stock VP Commodore.

Michael is also a passionate NRL supporter having played throughout Newcastle for many years and is a Canterbury Bulldogs Fan!

Michael is the ultimate coffee snob and has probably tried every cafe coffee in the area.
